Abstracts may be presented orally or in a poster session. Authors are furthermore invited to submit full-length papers which will be assessed for publication in a special issue of Journal of Risk Research (optional). The submission of a full paper is optional; it is possible to present an abstract without writing a full paper. Deadline for submission of full papers is 1 June 2015.
Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will be expected to attend the conference and present their work in person.
Abstracts and proposals will be reviewed by the Technical Program Committee. Upon acceptance the Maastricht organizing committee will notify authors by email. The conference program schedule will be available mid-May 2015.
Submission of abstract for individual paper and poster
Abstracts for individual papers, posters and symposiums must be submitted to the organizing committee by filling out the abstract submission form by 20 January 2015. Oral presentations will last 20 minutes. The abstract of an oral presentation or poster should not exceed 400 words and include specific field of interest, issues addressed, methodology applied and results achieved or expected.
Submission of abstract for a symposium
We encourage submissions of symposium abstracts. A symposium is a conference session composed by 3 to 6 presentations/abstracts on a common topic, lasting for 90 minutes. In some cases symposia may be extended to last over 2 consecutive sessions, involving 7-8 speakers. Symposium proposals must be submitted to the organizing committee ([email protected]) by 20 January 2015. The symposium proposal must contain:
1. Title of symposium;
2. Name of person (and his/her email address) responsible for planning and arranging the symposium;
3. Short description of the topic and contents of the symposium (max 200 words);
4. List of the presentations in the symposium (title of abstract and author names).
Please notice that each abstract in the proposed symposium needs to be submitted individually to the organizing committee by filling out the abstract submission form. Symposium organizers and presenters must pay participation fee similar to other conference participants.

*Submitting an abstract does not mean that you are registered for the conference. The organizers require the commitment of the author or one of the authors of the papers to register for and attend the conference to present the paper. If none of the authors of an abstract have registered for the conference by the deadline, the presentation will be removed from the conference program.
Optional Full Paper
Authors are invited to submit full-length papers which will be assessed for publication in a special issue of Journal of Risk Research (optional). The submission of a full paper is optional; it is possible to present an abstract without writing a full paper.
In regards to the guidelines for full length paper, the committee will use the same guideline as “Journal of Risk Research” uses. Please read more on the web page of Journal of Risk Research.
Full length paper must be submitted to [email protected], until June 1st, 2015.
