The SRA-E UK Chapter was initially established in 1996 and operated for two years with modest success after which it became dormant. Following on from some discussions with the SRA-E board, Nick Pidgeon, Darrick Evenson and Ragnar Lofstedt decided to re-launch it in 2024. The main objective of the UK Chapter is for bringing together individuals, policymakers and organisations interested in risk assessment, risk management, risk communication and wider risk research in Europe within the United Kingdom.
